[2.0] URL Rotator

[2.0] URL Rotator

Information:

1. This feature is commonly used for A/B testing
2. It requires two or more funnels to work
3. Stats are not combined inside bucket.io - each funnel will keep its own stats separate

Important

The rotator algorithm depends on the weight we give to each funnel, for example, we have two funnels and they are weighted 50% and 50%

Think of it as a heads and tails game. As you flip the coin into the air, you know for sure there are only two outcomes either heads or tails. And if you repeat this process ten times consecutively you know the result will always be either one of the two, but the number of times it lands in heads or tails is not necessarily even.

That being said, here is the step by step to set up a URL rotator

Step #1: Access the URL rotator feature

  1. Click your account profile located at the top-right corner of your account
  2. From the left-hand menu click URL Rotator
  3. Click Create New, which will open the set-up window

Step #2: Set up the rotator

  1. Add the URLs from each Funnel or survey into the designated fields, and confirm that the traffic split equals 100%
  2. Choose one of the domains, assign an internal name, and click Save URL Rotator
  3. Copy the new link, and share
