[2.0] Setting up Facebook Pixel in bucket.io

When you're ready to add the pixel code in Bucket.io and set up the different events that will be triggered based on user interactions with your funnel, follow the steps below.

STEP # 1: Activate the integration

  • From the Funnels page at the top navigation menu, locate the funnel that you wish to integrate and click Edit (the Edit button is located at the right-hand side of each funnel, represented by a green button with a pen symbol).
  • Click Settings, which will consequently display the settings menu of your Funnel 
  • Click Integrations, which will display all of the available apps to integrate with
  • Click the Facebook icon
  • Toggle on the integration at the top-right corner, this will automatically enable the integration form

*Please Note: The automatic save function only applies to what is done in the Canvas and Builder, so anything in the Integration Page requires a click to the Save Changes button to make sure the set up is saved.

STEP # 2: Add the pixel code

  • From Facebook Business Manager, copy the Facebook pixel code and add it into the designated box in bucket.io (we instruct how to find the code in the article Facebook Pixel Integration)
  • Click the Save Changes button located at the top right corner to secure the code

Before we begin:

  1. As the Value, you can use a keyword that captures the funnel’s purpose at a high level. For example, if someone is running a funnel to gain leads for an upcoming webinar, they might set the event value as "Webinar_Dec"
  2. For the Tag, choose something that defines the value more specifically. Continuing with the same example, they could use the tag "overcoming_burnout" to indicate that the webinar focuses on addressing burnout at work.

With these two pieces of information—Value and Tag—if they review the Facebook pixel data, they’ll know that someone tagged with this combination registered for the December webinar on overcoming burnout.

  1. Events can be set up for pages, lead capture, and outcome pages. Continuing with the webinar example, let’s assume they want to track whether someone submitted their email address. In this case, they would select the event "ViewContent." This event indicates that the quiz taker has viewed the outcome page. Since the outcome page is only accessible after providing contact information, selecting "ViewContent" allows them to track quiz takers who successfully submitted their email address on the lead capture page and registered for the webinar.

STEP # 4: Tag Questions and Answers

Here you assign Events to each Question depending on the Answer by choosing from the drop-down menu. This comes directly from Facebook and can’t be changed, though you have total freedom to set up your tags and values / these are alphanumeric fields so you can assign numbers or letters as you see best.
