Quiz Cart: #4 Configure Taxes
Step #4: Taxes
The taxes area is used to configure the tax percentage you want to collect for each purchase based on the buyer's location. By default, this section displays the following areas:
United States (US): All US States
European Union (EU): All European Union Countries.
Canada: All Canadian States.
United Kingdom (UK)
Default Counties:
If you need to configure taxes for one of these countries, simply click on the arrow located on the far right side to expand the menu and fill out the tax percentage for each state.
Finish the tax configuration by enabling the location using the check box next to each state and clicking Save Changes.
Other Countries (Custom):
To configure taxes for different countries click on the Add a New Tax Profile button located at the top right corner. This will enable a “Tax Custom” configure page:
Add a Tax name for the new tax profile (e.g: Mexico tax, Greece tax, China tax, etc)
Click on the Add Country option, this action automatically enables a pop-up
On the Location drop-down menu select the desired Country
Enter the Tax percentage you want to collect in the Tax Rate field
Click on Add button
Add Rates per Sub-Locations by switching the toggle located on the right-hand side (optional).
Click on the Save button located in the top right corner
Note: if your payment form does not include the Country in which the product or service is offered, then taxes will be calculated based on the IP address of the buyer at the time of purchase.
