Before transferring data (name, email, responses, tags, custom fields, etc.) from bucket.io to ActiveCampaign, two things must happen first:
Link or integrate bucket.io with ActiveCampaign via API (steps 1 and 2 in this article).
Set up integration at the settings page of the funnel, here is where tags, custom fields (we address the definition of tags and custom fields in the “setting up” article of this sequence), and other properties are assigned. So that our leads from bucket.io to ActiveCampaign can bring all the information we want them to ( Addressed in article Setting Up an ActiveCampaign Integration in bucket.io).
Note:
Tags: they have to be previously created in ActiveCampaign for bucket.io to be able to find and assign them. Tags can be assigned to buckets, questions, and answers.
Custom Fields: they have to be previously created in ActiveCampaign for bucket.io to be able to find and assign them. Custom fields can be assigned to Lead Capture pages.
NOTE: These instructions may vary if/when ActiveCampaign changes their interface, however, there is always the option to look for the most updated instructions in their respective help center.
Once in your ActiveCampaign main page, click the Settings option at the left-hand navigation menu.
It redirects to the Account Settings menu, and from there click the Developer option.
Consequently, it displays your ActiveCampaign API key and URL. Copy and paste this information or save it since it is needed to complete the next step.
Once logged into bucket.io, click the account profile located at the top-right corner, usually, it has the user’s initials.
By clicking under account name or profile, it deploys a drop-down menu, click My Account.
Click Add New Integration to go to the integrations menu.
Click the ActiveCampaign icon to open the integration and then click Add New Account.
It prompts to enter the API key and API URL, copy and paste the API key provided by ActiveCampaign.
Click Save Integration.
NOTE: The system should give a confirmation message at the top displaying “Integration Added Successfully” and the ActiveCampaign icon should no longer have a plus (+) sign indicating that something needs to be added, instead, it should display a gear icon.
For the next step(s) please look for the article Setting Up the ActiveCampaign Integration in bucket.io,as it addresses the way to fill out the form inside bucket.io.
