GDPR: Adding Cookie consent to your quiz

This article gives you the step by step on how to implement Cookie consent on your quizzes to ensure you obtain consent from your visitors before you make use of cookies and online trackers.

There are many cookie CMP platforms, and you are free to choose one that best serves your product needs

This article uses cookiebot (from cookiebot.com) for demo purposes.

Step #1: Generate your cookie scrip

If you choose to go with cookiebot, here is what you need to do:

Follow this article directly from their help center on how to create an account and generate your script

Note:

this is not covered in cookiebot’s instructions:

Access the Domain section and add your domain in the designated field
Click the save button located at the top-left corner

If you’re using a different cookie CMP, please refer to their knowledge based on how to generate your script.

Step #2: Add your script inside bucket.io

Access your quiz and click Settings
From the left-hand menu, click Tracking codes
Copy the very first code from cookiebot and paste it within the <head> tag area

If you are using a different cookie CMP, simply copy the code provided and paste it within the <head> tag area

Note: To confirm that your script is running correctly, copy the quiz link and open it in a new browser window, it should appear like this
