[2.0] Integrating Ontraport with bucket.io

Before transferring data (name, email, responses, etc.) from bucket.io to Ontraport, two things must happen first:

  1. Link or integrate bucket.io with Ontraport via API

  2. Set up integration at the settings page inside the funnel in bucket.io - here is where Tags (according to Ontraport - these are marketing labels that are applied to contact records) are assigned.

IMPORTANT:

  • Tags must be first created in Ontraport in order to have bucket.io apply them.

STEP #1: In Ontraport

Open your Ontraport account, and follow these steps:

  1. Go to Your Account icon (top right corner) and click on Administration

  2. Click on the INTEGRATION option located in the left column

  3. Click on Ontraport API Instructions and Key Manager

  4. Click on the + New API Key blue button

  5. Add a Name, select the owner, then check all the options and click on Save

  6. The APP ID and API KEY credentials will be created and listed

STEP #2: In bucket.io

Once logged into bucket.io, click the account profile located at the top-right corner - usually it has the user’s name.

  • By clicking under account name or profile, it deploys a drop-down menu, click My Account

  • Click Add New Integration to go to the integrations menu

  • Click the Ontraport icon to open the integration window

  • A new window will be displayed where the API KEY and API APP ID are requested

  • From your Ontraport account, copy the credentials created previously

  • Click Save Integration

NOTE: The system should give a confirmation message at the top displaying “Integration Added Successfully” and the Ontraport icon should no longer have a plus (+)  sign indicating that something needs to be added - instead, it should display a gear icon.

For the next step(s) please look for the article Setting up the Ontraport Integration in bucket.io, as it addresses the way to fill out the form inside bucket.io.
